"The American Revolution" Board of Advisors:
The members of “The American Revolution” advisory board have been selected from experts in their fields, ranging from the humanities to social media to documentary filmmaking to music and audio restoration. The members of the advisory board also have a personal knowledge of WBCN and its history.
The advisory board’s involvement with the film, including the review of the film’s treatment and rough cuts, will help insure the precision, accuracy and balance of the film, as well as its academic merit.
The advisory board currently includes: Pat Aufderheide, professor of Film and Media Arts at American University, and director of the Center for Social Media; MIT Professor Noam Chomsky, one of the fathers of modern linguistics and media observer and critic; Rob Cox, Director of the University of Massachusetts Special Collection and University Archives; Jeff Feuerzig, documentary filmmaker; Hester Fuller, Associate Professor in the Humanities at Colby-Sawyer College; Peter Jaszi; Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Clinic at American University; Marc Kirkeby, Sony Music VP of Archives and consultant on research and preservation of audio and video recordings; Jeff Kisseloff, author of “Generation on Fire: Voices of Protest from the 1960s” and “The Box: An Oral History of Television 1920 to 1961”; Al Kooper, musician and former professor at Berklee College of Music; Phillip Martin, executive producer of Lifted Veils Productions and NPR's former National Race Relations Correspondent; Peter Miller, documentary filmmaker; Philip Rosen, professor of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University; Professor Robert Ross, Clark University Department of Sociology; Ken Steinhardt, Vice President, EMC; and Dick Wingate, Music/Tech Consultant and former Program Director, WBRU-FM in Providence.
