The American Revolution is the new documentary film that tells the incredible, untold story of the early days of the radical, underground radio station WBCN, and how it changed radio -- and the world. The film is being completed for the 50th anniversary of WBCN in March 2018.
The American Revolution tells a story that couldn't be more relevant or timely today -- both to those who lived through the era, as well as to a new generation of young people, who may be more familiar with Occupy than SDS, and who are seeking to use media to create positive political and social change in their world.
The film shows how, in the days before Twitter, cell phones and GPS, radio, politics and rock and roll helped drive an unpopular president from office, end a war, and fueled the other great social, political and cultural changes of the era.
And with recent events, The American Revolution's story is all the more critical, including its look at the importance of a free press and free speech and expression.
At a time when it's never been easier to communicate, but never been more difficult to be heard, it's a timely and critical story to be told.
We did it before. And we can do it again. But not without your help!
